Tai’an Group Luneng Intelligent Power Transmission and Transformation Base Project Officially Launched

On August 30, 2024, the Tai’an Group Luneng Intelligent Power Transmission and Transformation Base Project officially commenced operations, setting a benchmark for new industrialization in the city. This project is dedicated to building a backbone enterprise in the intelligent, green, and high-end power transmission and transformation industry chain, aiming to contribute further to the new industrialization efforts and provide new momentum for the city’s development.

With the new factory now operational, it boasts an annual production capacity of 2,000 sets of ZF39-126 switchgear, 800 sets of ZF34-252 switchgear, and 14,000 tons of high-efficiency environmentally friendly transformer oil tanks. Once the project reaches full production capacity, the revenue from the Tai’an Group’s power equipment sector is expected to hit 5 billion yuan, creating 600 new jobs. This development will significantly enhance the capacity, product upgrade, market development, and promote local economic and social growth, as well as elevate the industry chain level.

As a key construction project in Tai’an City, the “Luneng Intelligent Power Transmission and Transformation Manufacturing Base Project” covers an area of 187 acres and has a total investment of 1.2 billion yuan. The main facilities include a super high voltage transformer manufacturing center, a low-carbon and environmentally friendly switch manufacturing center, and a high-efficiency transformer support center. The equipment levels of these facilities are at the forefront of the industry.

Since the project’s inception, the power equipment sector has strictly adhered to principles of environmental protection, safety, energy conservation, and efficient resource recycling during construction and production line design, in line with the national “dual carbon” strategy and the new industrialization initiatives. The goal is to create a nationally significant research and manufacturing base for power transmission and transformation equipment.

Upgrading equipment is a trend of the times and an important aspect of fostering new productive forces. To date, the Luneng Intelligent Power Transmission and Transformation Base has gradually equipped itself with the most advanced domestic production devices, including welding robots, laser cutting machines, and rigid KBK modular cranes. The base has also invested tens of millions of yuan in establishing the country’s most advanced environmental treatment center and has constructed a dust-free assembly workshop for GIS (Gas Insulated Switchgear) with an investment of 100 million yuan, achieving a purification level of 100,000, placing it at an absolute leading position in the industry.

With favorable conditions ahead, from January to August, the main economic indicators of the Tai’an Group’s power equipment sector achieved new breakthroughs, with profits doubling year-on-year, reaching historical highs. Currently, orders on hand have exceeded 3 billion yuan, with all orders filled through the first quarter of next year. The new factory significantly enhances the equipment level, manufacturing capacity, and production scale of the power equipment sector, providing robust support and strong guarantees for the further satisfaction of market demand for power equipment and improving the economic benefits of the entire industrial sector, thus facilitating the leap-forward development of the Tai’an Group.
